Wilderness Trail Bikes Worldwide Limited Warranty
Wilderness Trail Bikes, Inc. (hereinafter “WTB”) warrants to the original retail purchaser ("you, the consumer") that the WTB product for which you received this warranty is free from defects in material and workmanship for the periods and products set forth below from the date on the original retail purchase receipt **. Please see the current full warranty policy below for details.
- WTB Carbon Rim models Ci24 and Ci31(rim only)(thirty six) months.
- All other WTB Products – 24 (twenty four) months.
** Proof of Purchase from an authorized retailer, showing date of purchase, price paid and specifying WTB product for which warranty is sought.
This warranty is not transferable to a subsequent purchaser. Our sole obligation under this warranty is to either, at our discretion: (1) repair the claimed defect at no charge, or (2) exchange the product with a product that is new or which is at least functionally equivalent to the original product. The warranty submission form, at wtb.com/pages/wtb-warranty-claim-form must be completed and submitted via this website within 60 days of discovery of any claimed defect or lack of conformity of the product and be accompanied with a copy of the original retail purchase receipt. Repaired products are covered only for the remainder of the original warranty (from original date of purchase). Replaced products are covered by a new warranty period.
The duration of any implied warranty or condition, of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or otherwise, on this product shall be limited to the duration of the express warranty set forth above. In no event shall WTB be liable for any loss, inconvenience or damage, whether direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise, resulting from breach of any express or implied warranty or condition, of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or otherwise with respect to this product, except as set forth herein. Some states or countries do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts and some do not allow exclusions or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, as well as other limitations, so the limitations or exclusions in this warranty may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which may vary, from location to location. This warranty will be interpreted pursuant to the laws of the USA. The original English language version/meaning of this warranty controls over all translations and WTB are not responsible for any errors in translation of this warranty or any product instructions.
No company or person (including our employees or agents) are authorized to modify, enlarge or extend this warranty in any way or to make any other warranties, expressed or implied. This warranty is not intended to confer any additional legal, jurisdictional or warranty rights to you other than those set forth herein or required by law. If any portion of this warranty is held to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, such finding will not invalidate any other provision.
If your product packaging has a written warranty policy included that differs from the warranty policy at wtb.com/warranty, the warranty policy on our website is considered most current and will be controlling as of the time your warranty claim is made. WTB reserves the right to modify this warranty at any time. It is the retailers obligation to provide this warranty to you upon request. It is available at wtb.com/warranty.
To Obtain Warranty Service
Consumer claims for warranty service must be made within sixty (60) days of discovery of any claimed defect and through the WTB Warranty Claim form at wtb.com/pages/wtb-warranty-claim-form In some cases, WTB may require the product submitted for warranty consideration to be sent back for review/assessment. DO NOT return any product to WTB unless requested to do so. Any postage, insurance, or shipping costs incurred in sending your product for service are your responsibility. WTB will not be responsible for products lost or damaged in shipping. Please ensure your product is clean before you send it in for our inspection. Charges may be assessed if cleaning is necessary.
If the product is not covered under warranty, all replacement, repair, and shipping costs are your responsibility. By sending your product in for evaluation you agree that WTB cannot return unrepairable, unwarranted products to you (without a signed release) if they are unsafe to use in their unrepaired/unrepairable condition.
At no time may any retailer or distributor make representations of what is covered or not covered under this warranty without express written permission from WTB. Should a retailer or distributor replace a product before consulting WTB, it is at the sole discretion of the retailer or distributor and they may not be reimbursed by WTB. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the returned product becomes our property, and WTB may destroy it. By accepting a replacement part, you waive all rights to other claims arising from the damage to the original part.
WTB will make the warranty determination within 30 days after receipt of all requested information.
WTB is not liable for any damage or injury caused as a result of use of a damaged product once damage has been detected. No legal action pursuing remedies under the USA Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act may be brought against WTB under this warranty unless and until after all informal dispute settlement procedures are completed between WTB, or in cases of a disagreement, under the Better Business Bureau procedures set forth at www.bbb.org (703) 276.0100
This warranty does not cover the following:
Claims lacking a dated proof of purchase issued by an authorized WTB retailer.
WTB tires are designed to be used with tubes, unless specified as TCS compatible. Use of sealant/tubeless conversion kits on non-TCS products will void this warranty.
Products that have been modified, neglected or poorly maintained, used for commercial purposes, misused or abused or involved in accidents. It is your responsibility to regularly examine the product to determine the need for normal service or replacement.
Damage occurring during shipment of the products (such claims must be presented directly to the shipper).
Products sold or distributed by WTB that are covered by another warranty; this warranty does not extend, modify or replace any other warranty.
Products whose serial number or other identifying marks or labels have been altered, defaced or removed.
Products whose original product decals or surface finish/paint have been removed or modified.
Products that are purchased used, or in not-new condition or without original packaging.
Products that are returned in an incomplete condition (i.e. parts missing).
Damage to products resulting from improper assembly or repair (or the techniques used), the use or installation of parts or accessories not compatible with the original intended use of the product, or the failure to follow the product warnings, installation and usage instructions.
Products purchased at, installed, adjusted and or assembled by non-authorized retailers.
Products purchased through distribution channels that are not authorized by WTB (i.e. an unauthorized internet seller, swap meet or private party) or products originally intended to be sold in a country other than the one you purchased them in or from (i.e. grey market goods).
Damage or deterioration to the surface finish, paint, aesthetics or appearance of the product.
The labor costs required to remove and/or re-fit and re-adjust the item covered by this warranty or any product that it is attached to.
Any components not originally sold by WTB with the product, not our brand or components added to our product by others after sale by WTB.
Any costs associated with returning or shipping warranted or non-warranted products.
Normal wear to the product. Components may have symptoms of excessive wear in less than their warranted time frame depending on amount of use, type of use and other conditions that tend to reduce the normal life of a product. This includes products that have reached the end of their normal life expectancy before the warranted time frame expires.
Commercial claims made by any merchant, retailer, commercial seller or reseller (not on behalf of an individual consumer).
Any products for which the consumer does not follow the warranty procedures outlined above.
Carbon Rim 5 Year Crash Replacement Policy
WTB offers a limited FIVE-YEAR crash replacement policy for WTB Carbon rims. Our goal is customer satisfaction, so please make Carbon rim crash replacement claims directly to WTB. All other provisions of this warranty apply, and the procedures outlined for warranty service apply also to the crash replacement policy. WTB will make a decision on whether the part will be covered under the crash replacement policy through a warranty claim submission form at wtb.com/pages/wtb-warranty-claim-form. Do not send in ANY product without contacting WTB first.
Carbon Rim Crash Replacement Specifics
- Year 1-2 50% off of MSRP of current replacement product.
- Year 3-4 30% off of MSRP of current replacement product.
- Year 5 20% off of MSRP of current replacement product.
- Crash replacement is available to the original owner only.
- Crash replacement claims must go directly to WTB to be processed.
- Original sales receipt for WTB aftermarket or OEM component on complete bicycle must accompany part.
- Crash replacement only covers WTB Carbon RIMS (i.e. WTB is not responsible for labor costs to rebuild the entire wheel or replacement of non-WTB products).
- Sales tax, return freight, VAT and import duty are not covered by WTB.
- Crash replacement is offered for Carbon rims that have broken in normal riding conditions (e.g. cracked rim due to rock strike; not rims broken in car accidents or damaged in transport on a bike rack or in soft bike case).
- Crash replacement is not offered for any product that would be excluded from coverage under the warranty exclusions above. Crash replacement claims may be approved or denied at WTB’s sole discretion.
