DLC Ratchet Rings
WTB 7X hubs feature a responsive ratchet-ring drive system with DLC (Diamond-Like Coating) for superior hardness and low friction, providing smoother engagement and extended longevity.
DLC ratchet rings offer 3x the hardness of traditional chrome coating.
Slotted Inner Ring
The inner ratchet ring slots and locks into place, allowing the hubs to withstand over twice the torque of traditional threaded designs. No proprietary tools needed here.
This robust design boasts a max torque capacity of 790nm, and can withstand 2.4x the load of threaded inner rings.
Large & Durable Enduro Bearings
Large, high-load bearings in both the hub shell and freehub body ensure a stiffer axle assembly, higher reliability, and reduced maintenance. All moving parts are sealed with durable silicone to keep dirt and moisture out, making these hubs ready for any terrain.
All Cannondale Factory Racing riders have competed on Frequency 7X hubs laced to Reserve wheels throughout the 2026 season. The hubs have already carried Luca Martin to Men’s Elite XCO World Cup victories in Lenzerheide and La Thuile, along with five podium finishes through seven rounds as he leads the series overall.
Testing and feedback from CFR riders have helped WTB fine-tune the hubs while proving their dependability, low weight and performance ahead of their expected commercial availability as part of WTB mountain and gravel wheelsets.
