The Verdict with SG1 is our most aggressive and durable front-focused tire. The tire of choice when relentless traction takes priority over rolling efficiency and puncture protection. The flat profile of the Verdict keeps chunky outer knobs shoveling at all times while a substantial intermediate channel ensures multiple knob edges are able to bite when you initiate a corner. Abundant open space between every knob allows the Verdict to chew through the driest days of summer and fling mud during the wettest months of winter. The Verdict features SG1 puncture protection under the tread cap and extra protection along the bead.

Traction and Action

Verdict tread has knob shapes and siping to prevent knob flex and increase cornering support while also extending tread life. Siping depth was reduced on the outermost knobs in order to improve support without sacrificing traction on wet roots and rocks.

Big Knobs Everywhere

Centerline, transition zone and outer tread...all areas feature massive knobs. Tall knobs that dig deep, with lengths that hold up to heavy braking and thick, supportive bases that refuse to flex regardless of how hard you push them. Throw on a Verdict and forget the days of front tire wash-out.

Front-Focused Design

Designed to dig deep and improve cornering traction above all else. There are countless possible configurations, but we suggest pairing the Verdict 2.5 with a Judge 2.4 on the rear as a start. The Verdict/Judge combo keeps the front upright while you steer with the rear. Verdict 2.5 has also proven to be a great rear tire for e-bikers who need unparalleled traction in loose or wet terrain.

TCS Tubeless-Ready

TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) is WTB's standardized tubeless system. These tires feature a TCS tubeless-ready casing, which nearly eliminates flats and allows lower tire pressures to improve traction and comfort over a traditional tube-type tire.

Open Intermediate Channel

The continuously open channel between the intermediate and side knobs provide separate zones of abundant braking and cornering traction. Abundant open space between all knobs allows the tread to dig through the driest days of summer and fling mud in the wettest months.

TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) is our industry-leading tubeless rim/tire system designed to international ETRTO and ISO standards.

Three compounds provide optimal levels of traction, support and durability. Different durometers of base rubber, center knobs and soft knobs allow us to fine-tune performance and increase rider confidence.

Two full layers of casing wrap the tire from bead to bead and provide the ultimate level of puncture protection and sidewall support.

Soft yet supportive knobs conform to the trail and rebound slowly to provide maximum traction on loose, rocky terrain regardless of wet or dry conditions.

E25 e-bike tires are constructed using additional materials to not only strengthen the tire and prevent punctures, but also to increase support under heavy loads.

SG1 represents the toughest and most durable protection technology ever to be paired with WTB’s iconic Trail Boss, Vigilante, Judge and Verdict treads. Therefore taking the proven dual-ply ‘Tough’ option to an entirely new level.

SG1 Puncture Protection

SG1 puncture protection runs beneath the entire tread cap making the tire more resilient against sharp objects lurking in the dirt. But the fortification does not stop there. With a clear goal of strengthening the most vulnerable areas of a tire, WTB has introduced their new Inner Peace + technology, tripling the height of it’s apex bead protection for SG1. This enhancement not only shields the tire bead from damage, but also significantly bolsters the sidewall structure.

Updated Compounds

After years of development and numerous revisions, WTB has also updated High Grip compounds to not only increase tread longevity, but also improve grip at the same time. Especially in wet conditions. Blue is harder compound and Green is softer compound.

What is TriTec?

TriTec blends three distinct rubber compounds to provide different levels of traction, support and durability based on their placement within the tread. High durometer rubber provides a foundation for the entire tread pattern and even extends slightly into the base of each knob to provide additional support below the softer compounds used in the remainder of each knob. Center knobs feature a medium durometer compound to provide traction and durability without sacrificing rolling efficiency, while outer knobs feature the softest compound for maximum grip and slow rebound characteristics.

TCS Tough

Two full layers of casing span bead-to-bead to ensure every surface of the tire is more resistance to punctures. Using two layers of casing also provides additional sidewall support while cornering and allows riders to experience increased traction by running lower pressures than would be possible with thinner, single-ply casings. TCS Tough tires are the sure bet for aggressive trail, enduro, gravity and e-bike riders who want ultimate peace of mind out on the trail. Some riders may choose to run a TCS Tough tire on the rear while opting for the weight-saving benefits of a single-ply TCS Light tire on the front.
