Picked up a pair cheap on chain reaction during the summer. Been using regularly on the bridle ways and trails since November. Here in South east England, the trails get soupy and muddy this time of year; accordingly, this tyre suits perfect for the English winter.

Performance is good, but sidewalls are fragile and weep sealant a bit. If settings up tubeless, strongly suggest a foam rim protector - only had sidewall punctures and a foam rim protector stopped this effectively.

Love these tyres, got a stock of them. They grip well in any wet situation; deep mud, wet gravel, chalky clay soil, leaf litter, mossy overgrown fire roads, sand ect. Such great grip, they give confidence to corner in the wet and I have climbed some steep as muddy hills that would have left most tyres spinning.
For pure mud, there are more mud specific tyres out there, but these benefit from being able to handle any wet conditions, especially loose wet slippy gravel/mixed stuff.
Rubber is sticky and the tread is uniquely agile across many terrains.

Only thing is; wish they made a 35c or 38c. 32 is the bare minimum off road width and it often feels like making a choice between grip or comfort when hitting the trails and choosing which tyres.

The grip and confidence is stellar, especially in wet grass or (PNW) mud. I'm not sure if it is the knob shape, the rubber compound used, the thick file tread in the gaps between knobs, or the combination of all this, but I have not experienced a stickier tire. I have them mounted on Stan's Avion wheels; they are a bit stiff to mount, but I have yet to burp one or roll it off the bead in a corner in spite of pushing it to the point you can hear that telltale sound of grass ripping out as you pass because the tire has folded!
Actual treadwear seems to be quite good. I try to avoid pavement when these are mounted as with any offroad tire this will wear it down more quickly. I haven't kept track of mileage but they are in their third season with lots of abuse and no visible signs of wear or damage. Other than the sidewalls; others mentioned these are weak and leak. I've not lost enough pressure to notice during an actual race, but I do have several plugs in the sidewalls at this point. I use Stan's Race sealant and it does a great job of plugging things up at the low PSI I use these at. Don't buy these as gravel tires, buy these for low PSI 'cross racing. No regrets. The team I race with has another tire sponsor, but I'm on this website now because I want to order a backup set of these in case I damage one! Shh, don't tell...

I bought them for this season of cx, they did not last anything.
One lasted only 2 weeks, the other with a small touch of a rock burst, there was no way to seal it.
It was money thrown away.

The cross wolf is the best cx race tire. If you are racing cross and don't want to hassle with tubulars this is the tire you should be running. Hooks up like a dream on wet grass and slices through mud.
