Our proprietary 4D spoke drilling prevents binding and lateral loading of the spokes, while the spoke bed itself has been updated to provide a more compatible interface between the spoke and rim. Integration of the Solid Strip on our TCS rims delivers the easiest to mount and most reliable tubeless system we’ve ever made. Disk brake only. Tubeless Ready.

TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) is our industry-leading tubeless rim/tire system designed to international ETRTO and ISO standards.

6069 is the perfect aluminum alloy for bicycle rims due to its high tensile and fatigue strength, minimal weight, and excellent anti-corrosion properties.

Spoke holes are drilled at an angle to match the natural spoke path between a rim and hub. Eliminates binding and lateral loading of the nipples to increase wheel durability.

Rim ends are hydraulically pressed over an extruded aluminum insert that matches the inner cavity of the rim and is further reinforced by industrial epoxy.

Sloped rim valley allows the bead of the tire to easily and smoothly move into place during installation and inflation.

Installed between the rim and tubeless tape to prevent tape from sagging at each spoke hole and make tire inflation easier while also preventing puncture from a broken spoke.

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW DOES RIM WIDTH AFFECT TIRE VOLUME AND PROFILE?

Wider rims will cause a tire to also have a wider width, with more air volume within the tire and a flatter tire tread profile than designed for. As a general rule of thumb, a 2mm increase or decrease of inner rim width will result in a tire section width increase or decrease of 1mm. For example, our Nano 40 tire has a tire section width of 40mm on a 21mm inner rim width, however it will have a tire section width of 41mm on a 23mm inner rim width.

WHICH TUBELESS VALVE LENGTH IS BEST FOR THIS RIM?

All of our alloy rims work great with a 34mm valve stem. If you are using a deeper dish rim, like our CZR i23 rim, then we recommend the 46mm long valve stem. CZR i30 rims accept either length of valve.

WHICH WIDTH OF TCS TAPE SHOULD I USE TO SET THIS RIM UP TUBELESS?

WTB recommends using tape that is 5mm wider than the inner rim width. All WTB rims have the inner rim width listed in the name (i.e. KOM Light i35 rim requires 40mm TCS Tubeless Tape).
