My name is Federico Cabrera, but you can call me Fede. I'm an Argentinian photographer riding a bike in order to create change. I’m cycling through beautiful but impoverished rural areas, making, printing, and giving away portraits to families who won't otherwise ever have a family photograph... and nowadays I’m also donating solar lights & water filters to the families who need them most!
I got a degree and a successful career in Foreign Trade (15 years), but I left everything behind to follow a dream. I started this little project in 2014 and I’m still on the road (I did my first trip with Mutano Raptors and my last with Byways)… so far I rode close to 30.000 kilometers, printed 500+ portraits, and donated 350 solar lights & water filters through South America (Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, and Venezuela).
“Their Only Portrait” is a very small personal project (a one-man-show) but its main objective is to show fellow riders we ALL can make the world a better place, one pedal stroke at a time.
I know I will not change the World, but at least I can make a small tangible difference for the families I meet along the road!
