About Me: My love affair with bikes (and gravel) began during the idyllic, low contrast days of my youth exploring gravel roads and woodland trails of rural Northeast Pennsylvania on secondhand bikes from my Grandfather's shop. After a brief hiatus, I rediscovered the joys of the bicycle as a way to explore my college town and its surrounding hillsides on the first new bike I'd ever purchased - a Kona Dew Plus in a powder blue that assured incessant compliments. Fast forward three years and my bicycling passion brought me to the fertile fairways of gravel in Boulder, CO. Since upgrading to a steel Kona Sutra LTD (in an iridescent green/blue that similarly draws gazes and compliments alike), my ventures have expanded into bikepacking and fully-rigid, often grit-your-teeth-and-hang-on mountain biking - an inevitable outcome on such a capable rig accompanied by superb Wilderness Trail Bike tires.
