Sponsors: Pivot Cycles, Kali Protectives, Deity Components, WTB, Clif Bar, Smith Optics, Shimano, Fox, Five Ten and Stealth Hubs.
How long you have been with WTB: WTB was my first sponsor, I’ve been supported since 2009.
Hometown: Aptos in the winter, the rest of the world in the summer.
Favorite place to ride: The Farm in Kamloops BC.
Fun fact: I sleep best in a hammock.
How WTB contributes to your success? I had a long battle with wheels before I found the WTB i25. Ask any of my friends, there was a constant joke about if I was gonna be able to make it through the day on a set of wheels. Having dependable wheels adds a lot of confidence to my riding.
How you got started out competing? I always liked jumping, and the biggest jumps I could find where on contest courses. I think It was kinda a natural evolution.
First experience with a bike: My older brother saved up and bought some heavy chrome tank of a BMX when we were kids, we did skids and built sketchy board and a cinder block style jumps. I remember hitting one of our little jumps and getting super sketchy, but landing. Instantly I was like “I could do this forever”..
Who do you look up to? My riding inspiration comes from dudes like Jamie Goldman, Nico Vink, Zink, Andreu, and of course Aggy.
Other activities(off the bike): I really love anything outdoors. Backpacking, building things, sunburning, boating, and anything else where you can get splinters and blisters.
Beverage of Choice: h2o, especially when its mixed with fermented grains and hops.
Place you have always wanted to ride: New Zealand.
