Sponsors: Trek, Castelli, Gu, Fox Racing Shox, Oakley, K-Edge, Bontrager and Violich Farms
How long you have been with WTB: This is my second year with WTB
Discipline: Enduro, XC
Hometown: Roseville, CA
Favorite place to ride: Doesn’t get much better than Whistler
How WTB contributes to your success? The TCS Tough casing is fantastic and lets me focus on how best to ride the trail and not about avoiding a flat. Super dependable and really helps my state of mind. After all, there’s nothing slower than a flat.
How you got started out competing? I began racing mountain bikes in the NorCal series as a freshmen in high school and I’ve been on a bike ever since.
First experience with a bike: My parents said I couldn’t get a motorcycle until I could ride a bike without training wheels so that’s why I got a dirt bike at around 3.5 years old.
Who do you look up to? I look up to people like Stephen Ettinger and other professional cyclists who were also able to earn their degrees while remaining in competition.
Other activities (off the bike): I am a Mechanical Engineering Student at the University of Nevada Reno as well as a Youth Ski Instructor.
Beverage of Choice: You can never drink enough water
Place you have always wanted to ride: I’ve always wanted to ride in New Zealand.
