WTB Hires Nikolay Titev, Expands Reach in Southeastern Europe

SOFIA, BULGARIA – May 2, 2014 – WTB announced the hire of Bulgaria-based Nikolay Titev today, who will augment WTB Europe’s sales staff, managing Southeastern Europe’s aftermarket as well as OEM sales. WTB attributes Titev’s recent hire to expanding Euopean sales as well as demand in the southeastern region.
Lorenzo Parini, WTB Europe’s sales director, commented on Titev joining the team, “Adding a well-respected professional like Nikolay to our team will help support our expanding European sales, and increase brand awareness in a region with a high concentration of bike assemblers.”
Titev continues WTB’s tradition of rider-driven employees, hailing from a professional downhill racing background from 2001 to 2006, and having been crowned Bulgarian Downhill Champion. While having hung up his hat for full time downhill racing, Titev still occasionally competes in local DH races though has shifted his focus to enduro riding, a burgeoning category in Bulgarian cycling witnessing remarkable growth.

Nikolay Titev founded Ram Bikes over ten years ago and more recently, founded Invert Ltd., a Bulgarian-based distribution company. Titev will work for WTB from Sofia, Bulgaria while also continuing to operate Invert, Ltd.
